Set FAQ's Hyaluronic Acid Balancing Serum

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a sugar found naturally in our skin that holds water and helps keep it hydrated and plump. The HA within our bodies holds a thousand times its weight in water to not only retain all that moisture in our skin and joints, but also prevent all that moisture from evaporating into the air,

Why is it important for my skin?

Just like collagen and elastin, the amount of naturally-occurring Hyaluronic acid in our bodies decreases as we get older. When used in skincare Such as FREYA + BAILEY HYALYRONIC ACID BALANCING SERUM, it  brings moisture to the surface of your skin and continually keeps it  moisturised throughout the day. We have delivered a pure concentrate to which not only improves skin elasticity but  make the skin appear more dewy and fresh.

How can I maximise its effectiveness in my skin care routine?

Try applying our Hyaluronic Acid Serum on damp skin, then quickly topping it with a moisturiser to seal in hydration and actives.

Our clinically active serum is best used under a more occlusive moisturiser such as Reboot Superfoods Resilience, Forte Retinol Lustre, Surge Advanced Protect + SPF30 or Collagen Q10 Firming Night Cream  to trap in the water-binding effects of the acid.

Can Sensitive or stressed prone skin benefit?

Although it's technically an acid, our Hyaluronic Acid serum  won't make your skin burn or tingle -  Instead, its exactingly designed to pull water into your skin to keep it dewy, bouncy, and hydrated.

Those with regular irritation or stressed skin conditions tend to have a very thin or damaged stratum corneum, which means moisture is more easily lost and irritants can find their way in. It’s why sensitive and stressed complexions tend to go hand in hand with dryness and dehydration.

Topical application of our serum provides a targeted solution for that  weakened upper layer. Its high molecular weight  creates a permeable film on the  skin which reduces Trans Epidermal Water Loss (TEWL), which is higher in a compromised barrier. In addition its medium and smaller sized molecules help permeate deeper into the skin to leave the skin elastic,  moisturised and supported. This, in turn, helps reduce the overall sunken or sagging appearance of the face, and softens the overall look of lines and wrinkles.
