I am concerned about aging and looking for a face mask. What should I look for?
With the changes our skin undergoes as we age, it’s important to find a beauty routine that can replenish mature skin — and masking is a great place to start. Using a face mask a few times a week will add a boost to what your skincare is already doing, help target your specific needs, and offer a relaxing respite from the day — something we could all really use from time to time!
Look for for one with a creamy, cushiony texture to blanket the skin with its nourishing formula. Hydration is important given dryness is a by product of aging you’ll want a mask that will preserve its natural hydrating functions, encourage moisture retention and energise fatigued cells. Lastly look for ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, botanical oils and Peptides to help restore collagen, vitality and suppleness.
How do I apply it?
We recommend that before masking you cleanse your skin. This not only removes dirt and grime off your face, but you're now providing more surface area of the skin for the mask to be in contact with.
2. Apply a thin layer to your face then leave on for 10-15 minutes.
3. Remove with a warm, damp muslin cloth if available or a clean towel. For a year-round firmness use weekly.
